My name is Evan Taylor, and I am an award-winning videographer and editor with a strong foundation in photojournalism. I hold a degree in Communication from the University of Cincinnati and launched my career in 2020 as a part-time photographer for my hometown’s local TV news station. This experience ignited my passion for visual storytelling, which I have since developed into a successful career in videography.

My journey in photojournalism began with 2 News and Nexstar Media Group, where I quickly earned a reputation as one of the most reliable journalists on staff. Despite working with poor-quality equipment, I honed my skills and delivered high-quality content that stood out. I would work on major breaking news events and interview the likes of Vice President JD Vance, Gov. Mike DeWine, former Sen. Sherrod Brown and several more higher up political figures. After two years, and with some freelance experience under my belt, I transitioned to a role as the Video Communication Specialist for Montgomery County. In this position, I managed a diverse range of projects for social media and internal communications. My team and I were honored with a NACIO award for a video project that I both shot and edited.

Currently, I work at DH Productions, where I specialize in producing and editing videos for television advertising, social media campaigns, marketing, informational product specials, and internal corporate communications. I have had the privilege of collaborating with both local businesses in the Dayton area and nationally recognized companies such as CareSource, Panera, Hobart, and Henny Penny. My work for the 2024 Montgomery County Fair was awarded 1st place in the Television Advertising category and "Best In Show" overall for capturing theme by The Ohio Fair Managers Association. I have worked with notable people such as Charles Barkley and running camera for Pete Rose's final interview before his passing. My videography has been featured in several award-winning projects, most recently in a Hermes Award-winning video, and I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with Emmy Award-winning producers, reporters, and creators. I’m always looking for new challenges and fresh ways to approach my creative process, and I truly believe the work I’ve produced over the past few years reflects that passion and drive.
